2. 1 Nature and Limitations of Testing
PAT testing reflects the condition of equipment at the time of inspection only. Hidden, intermittent, or developing faults may not be detectable during testing. Testing does not guarantee the ongoing safety, reliability, or performance of equipment after the test date.
Testing does not include repair of faults. Equipment may fail testing due to underlying conditions, age, wear, design issues, or pre-existing faults.
We accept no liability for faults discovered during testing or for any pre-existing damage.
2. 2 Visual Inspections Where Full Testing Is Not Possible
Where items cannot be accessed for full electrical testing, a visual inspection may be carried out where possible and to the best of our ability. This inspection is limited to observable conditions only and does not replace full electrical testing.
Items that cannot be fully tested due to access limitations or other constraints will be recorded in the testing report together with the reason for incomplete testing.
The report reflects only the condition of items tested or inspected on the date of inspection. It does not certify the safety of untested, hidden, inaccessible, or uninspected equipment.
